Are you an enthusiastic, passionate motivated and committed team manager with a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience? Then this could be the role for you.

Doncaster Children’s Services Trust has recently been given a “Good” rating by OFSTED and are we are continuing our improvement journey. The children and young people are already letting us know our social care staff provide great support and guidance to them.

Here are a couple of quotes from our satisfied customers:
“… thank you for all your hard work”
“…… I just wanted to let you know my recent social worker has been amazing and is a huge credit to the Trust.”

With a stable leadership team and the continued development of a supportive, innovative personal development culture we are on a clear journey to improve services to children, young people and families in Doncaster.

As part of this journey we are continuing to strengthen our social work teams with individuals who are passionate about developing and delivering the innovations and quality of service we believe the communities of Doncaster deserve.

We are now recruiting to the post of Team Manager within our Front Door, the Multi-Agency Access Point acts as a single point of contact for all safeguarding concerns for children and for requests for early help support. The Multi-Agency Access Point also supervises and provides an Emergency Social Services Team (ESST) for out of hours cover and is co-located with the Child Exploitation Team. This team is based at Mary Woollett Centre, DN4 5HF.

This is a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing improvements in practice required to support the service delivered to children and their families. The role requires someone who is experienced in managing a complex case load and making decisions around threshold quickly with limited information.

You will need to have experience of managing a team of social workers within a child protection team or Front Door and be able to evidence an ability to improve outcomes for children. This specific post will be the ESST lead within the front door, which includes supervision of ESST members of staff, co-ordinating leave to ensure service cover is in place, agreeing requests for ESST support and responsibility for the ESST rota. Therefore, experience of managing an ESST team would be desirable. This post does not require out of hours working arrangements outside of flexible working.

As a team manager you will work closely with the fellow team managers within the front door, provide cover for the Child Exploitation Team as required as well as liaising and working with team managers across Doncaster Children’s Services Trust to embed good and outstanding practice for the children and young people who reside in Doncaster.
