We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, adaptable Arborist to join our specialist Arboricultural Team. We are responsible for the maintenance and care of the Authority’s tree stock, this falls into many categories including woodlands, parks, open spaces and adjacent to the highway network.  We also carry out works for St Leger Homes and other council departments such as:- cemeteries, schools and Asset Management.

Candidates will be carrying out a range of arboricultural operations and should be comfortable working at height to undertake tree pruning and dismantling operations, using both rope techniques and mobile elevated work platforms. Candidates will be expected to be motivated and a good team player, be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst delivering a high standard of work to industry best practice. Excellent customer care skills are essential.

The team work alongside colleagues within the Street Scene Service providing a 24 hour/365 day emergency call out service.  To maintain a ‘safer, cleaner and greener borough for the residents and visitors of Doncaster.

Shortlisting will take place week commencing 25/03/2019 and it is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 08/04/2019.  There will be a practical assessment as part of the selection process.
