Domestic Abuse Navigator (DAN)
We currently have a unique and exciting opportunity to join Doncaster Children’s Services Trust working as a temporary full time (37 hours) Domestic Abuse Navigator (DAN) as part of the DAN service.
The DAN service has evolved from a DfE funded innovation programme focusing on a whole family approach to domestic abuse.
You will be joining a team of practitioners who are working to support families living with domestic abuse and help them to live together or separately better. This will include providing both psycho-educational and psychotherapeutic responses to support present and future recovery where necessary, as well as supporting the access to services where there is complex need.
This approach provides an opportunity to make a real and tangible difference to families. It creates possibilities for change to prevent the cycle of abuse perpetuating and ensures a healthier future for children and young people impacted by domestic abuse.
The post is temporary full time and is funded until 31 December 2019 but may be extended or made permanent if further funding becomes available.
If you would like more information about the role, please contact Alicia Lee, Senior DAN on 07966 867259
